This is so beautiful!!!!!!!!!
I would surely be another person if I lived in such environment or at least have another way of seeing.
I feel like walking in the first landscape.
The light is so different from what I have, the trees and I would love to feel the contact of my shoes with the snow.
I love the ladder full of snow... lol
I think I like everything that causes you a lot of work.

I can't see the remains of the tree that felt.
Will you take the snow form the front door? hahaha
I will publish the first picture with ramblings...
My life in pristine lands! :)

The branches that blew off, is pretty far away, beneath the snow that blew over, and rather small, as the forearm.
Today it's 12 degrees below zero Celsius. it means that the snow squeaks under your shoes as you walk. It sound "knierk, knierk", which is my attempt to imitate the sound in English.

..and yes, I have already dug away the snow in front of the door.

12 degrees below... and this sun, this light.
It is amazing that you have no neighbors close to your house.
I can't get enough watching these pictures.
The shape of the trees of the first one, you house looks so comfortable and warm that I believe that just turning on the heat will make a good temperature.
You took the pictures at 3 p.m.
The best hours for lights here in Rio is from 3 p.m. or from 9 a.m. till 10 a.m. especially in autumn and spring. Good light in winter is rare.

In winter the sun is never high in the sky, it moves along the horizon. Sometimes, when the sun is orange and in some haze in the atmosphere can heaven be slightly green, otherwise it is intensely crisp bright blue. It is the purest blue color of my knowledge and clear winter days, it almost hurts my heart to see. Breathtakingly beautiful.
Photo 1. The first tree is a willow, picture 2, the big tree near the house, a pine tree. Pines do not look like that in ordinary cases, the first picture, beyond and to the left of the willow, you will see "normal" pines.

I hope to take a walk some day with my dog, and remember to take my camera with me so that I can post pictures of the surroundings.
the woods are full of moose tracks, the fox can be seen sometimes in the meadow, in the spring moves the bear in the neighborhood, neighbors have seen it, we've only seen the bears poop though it is so close.
Elks are too many, there is many traffic accidents with cars driving into them. They are large animals, the front of the car turns into the moose's legs, the body turns into the windshield, shattered the windscreen and injure or kill those who sit in the front seat.
From September to January each year, do they design teams and hunting moose. We have two teams hunting in the forests around us. I do not hunt myself, but we have the freezer full of elk meat.
Despite of intensive moose hunting, moose breed faster than they can hunt.
The hunt is regulated tightly by the authorities. Each team must hunt their allocated number of moose. If they shot more they are punished. Many hunt team does not succeed to shoot their allocated number, but there is no punishment for that.
Forest owners are angry at this, since moose eat of their plantations, destroying forests for millions of dollars. But balance is hard. For about 20 years ago we shot too many elk, and the moose was then in danger of extinction.
